Mireille Suzanne Francette Porte (b. 1947, Saint-Étienne), better known as ORLAN, is an important representative of body art, performance art and BioArt. In this installation, she maps out the themes of hope and loss, and explorers the unsure, fragile, unremittingly evolving state of the human body. In this controversial installation, she maps out the refugee crisis: people are fished out from a basin, like ducks at the funfair.
