In Dreaming of the South Schacht continues on Das Narrenschiff: she places a mirror on two copies of the book. Visitors who look in the mirror are confronted with the question of how future generations will regard our society.

Artist Kelly Schacht (b. 1983, Roeselare) presents a number of copies of the book Das Narrenschiff – a work by the German satirist Sebastian Brant – wrapped and installed on a shipping pallet. Now and then, a number of books disappear, and thus Brant’s ship of fools is further ‘dispersed’. Schacht plays with the concepts of authorship and originality and comes up with a new interpretation of moments and objects from the past.
